In front of the hotel, after passing Piazzale Buraggi, you enter the Bianchi beach; the center is a few steps away, therefore convenient for dining or for other needs.
Continuing 200 m on the walk towards Ventimiglia, as the crow flies in front of the railway station (100 m), there is a large free beach divided into three areas. The first is an equipped free beach where the Municipality provides free essential services (entrance, rescue, cleaning and toilets), from 15 June to 15 September from 9 to 19. The second area is a completely free beach, while the third is dedicated to pets. In order to access this latter area you need: vaccination booklet, leash, muzzle (if required by breed). In addition, the dog can only be left free while swimming, otherwise it must be kept on a leash.
Personally I do not recommend these beaches unless you are in the company of a four-legged friend.
On the other side, in the direction of Genoa, shortly after Piazza Vittorio Emanuele there is the so-called Neri beach (Compagnia di San Pietro) free and with shower.
Other very beautiful free beaches are those between the tunnel of Castelletto and Capo San Donato. Approximately 1.5 km from the Medusa, they can be easily reached on foot (20 minutes), by bicycle or scooter. The use of public transport or cars is definitely not recommended.
